Michele L. Benson

Michele L. Benson, 59, of Hanover, PA, entered God's eternal care Friday, February 14, 2025, at home with her loving family by her side.

Born June 3, 1965, in Hanover, PA, she was the loving daughter of Brenda K. (Church) Wertz and stepdaughter of Ronald Wertz of Hanover, PA, and the late Robert C. Burket. Michele was the loving companion of Wayne Baumgardner for twenty years.

Michele was a 1984 graduate of New Oxford High School. She worked for Hanover Food Corp. for twenty-five years.

Michele loved animals, skating, and watching movies. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her loving mother and stepfather, Michele is survived by two sons, Robert C. Benson of East Berlin, PA, and Ryan Benson of Hanover, PA; three grandchildren, Adair Benson, Rowan Benson, and Jake Benson; and many other extended family members.

Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate and remember Michele will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, February 22, 2025, at York Springs Global Methodist Church, 840 Trolley Road, York Springs, PA, 17372, with her Pastor Trisha Guise officiating. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00AM, Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michele's name to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer, 415 Crossways Park Drive, Suite D, Woodbury, NY 11797, to the S.P.C.A., 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325, or to your favorite animal charity.
