Micheal Tumlinson, 67, passed away on August 22,2022.
He was born on January 9, 1955, in Burnet, Texas to Calvin and Rosemary Tumlinson.
Micheal graduated from Llano High School in 1973. He began his lifelong career in the automotive industry at the age of 13 with his father Calvin at Kingsland Auto Service. Micheal continued to carry the torch until his recent retirement in August of 2022.
Micheal married Bea Martinez at the First Baptist Church in Kingsland on September 22 of 1980. The couple had two children, Lori Marlow of Burnet, and Micheal Tumlinson currently of Pasadena, Maryland.
As dependable as the seasons, Mike could be found at his shop, generally, under the hood of a vehicle or engaging with his customers. Given Micheal's smile and genuine heart, they can better be described as soon-to-be-friends. Inevitably he would head to the parts store only to return with the same warm grin as he has sported since childhood, yet more stories from around the town, and sometimes the part in which he set out to retrieve.
In his hard-earned time away from work, Mike would drive the county roads photographing both the landscape and its inhabitants. Among the best of times, Mike would gather the fishing troupe and head out to whatever body of water that was deemed most promising or would generate the best "one that got away" stories.
Micheal was the foundation for his family. His patience, loving embrace, and honest advice provided comfort and wisdom to those around him. If ever there was a need Micheal was there with an open ear and understanding. To his family, Micheal was, and will always be one of a kind and will ever be a source of inspiration to many.
Micheal is survived by Lori Marlow -daughter, and her husband Jimmy, of Burnet, their two children Shelby and Jesse, and granddaughter Olivia; Micheal Tumlinson -son, and his wife, Leslie Tumlinson, currently of Maryland, and their children, Cole, Caleb, Mason, and Madison. He also has his sisters Cheryl Moseley, Mary Birdsong, and Eileen Van Bibber, cousins, other family members, and of course an entire community he touched along the way.
Micheal is preceded in death by his father Calvin, mother Rosemary, brother Larry, and sister Lisa.
