Michael W. Tierney, 49, of Pittsfield, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Born in Pittsfield, MA, on March 9, 1972, the son of the late William P. Tierney and Patricia Pulasky Tierney, he graduated from Taconic High School and later attended classes at Berkshire Community College.
Michael was a drywall taper by trade. Most recently, he was employed by Michael Taylor Painting and Mobile Home Experts, where he dedicated over five years as both a taper and painter. Prior to this, he perfected his taping and venetian plaster skills working with his father at Tierney Drywall.
Mike "Nimmer" enjoyed fixing cars, going to the casino, ice fishing, hunting, cooking and spending time with his family as well as his pets Jaxxon and Arro.
Michael is survived by his fianc?, Marlena Ellsworth, and his siblings, Karen Tierney Bristol (John), Mary Ellen Tierney, William Tierney, Jr. (Joanne) and Diane Pratt (Brian). He leaves behind his nieces Cassidy Abbott, Jessica Bristol and Courtney Cannon and his nephew Nicholas W. Bristol and a great niece Kaylyn LaDouceur as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that love him and will miss him every day.
Funeral Notice:
Public calling hours for Michael W. Tierney will be Tuesday, December 7, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North Street, Pittsfield MA. Funeral services will be private.
