Michael Thomas Stydnicki passed away September 26, 2024 at the age of 69 in Brainerd, MN.
Mike was born November 2, 1954 to Stanley and H. Eleanor 'Tommie' (Thompson) Stydnicki in Austin, MN.
Mike attended St. Edward's Catholic School in Austin until the family moved to Northfield, MN where he graduated from Northfield High School in 1973.
Mike worked at Northfield Manufacturing Company and Northfield Freezing Company. Mike moved to the Brainerd MN area in 1996 and worked for Lakeland Mold currently Avantech, in Baxter MN.
Mike married his wife, Diane, on September 25, 1999 and they made their home outside of Brainerd.
Mike was a life-long outdoors man; enjoying hunting and fishing whenever the seasons allowed. Several of his hunting trips resulted in large mounted trophy displays that were his pride. After his stroke in 2002, he liked to use trail cameras to watch the wildlife on his property and would sometimes target shoot from his bedroom window.
Mike is survived by his wife, Diane; sister, Mary (Stydnicki) Johnston(Walter), Woodstock MD; step-daughter, Ashley Wheeler; step-granddaughter, Aubree Woolsey and many other Stydnicki and Thompson relatives in Minnesota and Ohio.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held October 14, 2024 at 11:00AM with visitation an hour before the service (10:00 AM) at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Benson officiating.
