Michael Lynn Singleton, 73, of Stanford, KY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 after a brief illness. Born on Wednesday, November 8, 1950 in Danville, KY to the late Lester Singleton and Bernell Mullins Botos. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, where he had served as deacon since 2009. For most of his life he was a truck driver for several different trucking companies: including his own for several years, Vascor of Georgetown, and the present, Ruck's Trucks. He took pride in his work and became an inspiration and mentor to those he had the privilege of working with. He became a friend to many and family to many more. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and uncle.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Catherine "Cat" Lawrence Singleton of Stanford; two sons, Chris Singleton of Stanford and Brian Singleton (Julie) of Waynesburg; two precious granddaughters, Sydney Mullins of Lexington, KY and Kaylee Singleton of Waynesburg; one sister, Sharon Godbey (Jeff) of Waynesburg; three brothers, Keith Singleton (Mary) of Waynesburg, Rick Welch (Joanna)of Finger, TN and Randy Singleton (Katie) of Liberty, KY; several loving nieces, nephews, cousins and his little dog baby, Muffy Mae.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Singleton (Elnora) and Bernell Botos (Frank); and parents-in-law, George and Mary DeBorde Lawrence.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the following morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Baptist Church in Waynesburg, KY. The funeral service will be on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Baptist Church with Bro. Johnny Baker and Bro. David Conrades officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, KY.
