Michael Robert Parodi, age 74, of Marietta passed away Friday, March 12, 2021.
Michael was born and raised in Miami, Florida by his parents, the late U. Edward and Billie Camero Parodi. Soon after he and his high school sweetheart, Linda, were married, they began their family and moved to Georgia. Michael lived in Cobb County for 45 years. He was a graduate of the University of Miami and John Marshall Law School. In addition to working for Delta Airlines for 31 years, he spent part of his career as a partner in the King and Parodi Law Firm in Marietta. Michael was a member of Transfiguration Catholic Church, where he led the charismatic prayer group for many years. He was an avid reader and enjoyed painting, drawing, and music. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Vance Michael Parodi; and his sister-in-law, Kathleen Ostuni Parodi.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 53 years, Linda McVicker Parodi of Marietta; daughter, Krista Parodi Messic and husband George of Marietta; daughter, Autumn Parodi Burr and husband Ryan of Powder Springs; son, Damien Reed Parodi of Marietta; daughter, Kristen Parodi Bland and husband Tim of Acworth; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Gabriel (wife Allison), Reagan, Sasha, Nolan, Lauren, and Skylar; brother, William Parodi and wife Dee of Jackson Hole, WY; brother, Daniel Parodi of Woodstock; sister, Teresa Parodi and husband Jeff Ribnik of Fortson, GA; brother Fredrick Parodi and wife Nancy of Spokane, WA; and a large and loving extended family.
The family will receive friends from 5 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, March 17, at the Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta: www.carmichaelcares.com, 770-424-4924. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, March 18, at 3 PM at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Marietta, with Monsignor Henry Gratz officiating.
