Michael Peter O'NeillSeptember 18, 1956 - February 1, 2022Mike passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on February 1st at the age of 65. Today we ask you to join us in taking the time to reflect on what would have been his 66th birthday.Raised in Daly City, Mike graduated from Jefferson High School, Class of 1974. He is survived by his six children: Melinda Shaw, Christina Trujillo (Francisco), Michelle Terry (Gabe), Mike O'Neill, Jr., Candida O'Neill, Peter O'Neill, Jr., brother, Pat O'Neill; sister, Peggy Donner (Don) and seven grandchildren. He is preceded in his passing by his parents, Harriette O'Neill Blackburn and Peter O'Neill, brother Ron O'Neill, and his first granddaughter Marissa McLeod. In his youth he served as an acolyte in the Episcopal Church. He enjoyed being a member of the cub/boy scouts which led to his love for camping and any day his wagon was always packed and ready to go. At a young age he delivered newspapers and shined shoes to make money. He had a career on and off as a union glazier in local #718 for 30 years. He was an avid fan of live concerts and thrived on acquiring and selling "in demand" tickets. During retirement, he could be found outside of his house always working on projects, watering his fortress of trees and washing rocks in the driveway where he would talk to anyone who stopped by and kept up with the local gossip. Second Avenue will not be the same without Mike and his granddaughter, Krystal, walking up and down the street talking with and helping neighbors while deciding what car would start so they could go for their daily walk at Lake Merced.Mike was a unique individual whose street smarts and experiences made conversations with him enlightening. He had his own passion for living. Mike's favorite motto, "I live my life my way, no regrets".
