Michael Ray Madden passed from this life on January 15, 2021 from complications after COVID. He was born on April 9, 1942 in Livingston, Texas, raised in Progreso, Texas, and graduated from Weslaco High School. Mike was the service manager at LT Boswell Ford Dealership in San Benito, Texas and would often loan his own truck to customers. He served his community as an Elk, a Boy Scout Master including a member of the Order of the Arrow), and a San Benito School Board Member. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church until he moved to Canyon Lake and later south Austin. Quick with a smile and a joke; Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, road trips, working cattle and visiting with friends new and old. He is survived by sons Ross Madden (Amy) and Justin Madden, and daughters, Melinda and Martha (Tim ). "PawPaw" will live on in his 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers Jerry, Jay, and David Madden and sister, Phyllis Russell. Mike is preceded in death by his parents and siblings George Madden and Jeanne Cleckler. Mike's wish was to have his ashes scattered in the Laguna Madre. A Memorial Service will be planned for a later date.
