Dr. Michael G. Langley, age 69 of Robinson, IL died Friday November 5, 2021, at 6:48 PM at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL following a battle with COVID Pneumonia.
Michael was born August 13, 1952, in Santa Barbara, CA to Marvin Lee and Wanda L. (Charron) Langley. He married Jana Beth (Floyd) and she survives
As a youth, Mike was an avid roller-skater and went on to compete in the Quincy National Competition. He loved hunting and fishing and collecting and restoring old automobiles. Mike was a 1970 graduate of Robinson High School and went on to Southern Illinois University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, and then entered SIU School of Medicine in Springfield, IL where he earned his Doctorate in Medicine in 1978. He then went on to serve his residency in Cincinnati, OH followed by starting his medical practice at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL and then moving his wife, Jana and family to Tulsa, Oklahoma and eventually to Walnut Ridge, Arkansas where he retired in 2018. Mike was also a licensed pilot for several years.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and April Tolliver, Mattoon, IL; two daughters and a son-in-law, Mrs. H. Kate and Casey Faust, West Milton, PA and Mrs. Ingrid Rey, Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Kayla Shailen and Kyle Wright, Aubrie Toliver, Ava Faust, Lawson Faust, and Liam Faust and one great grandchild on the way. Also surviving is Michael's twin brother Patrick Langley, Robinson, IL, a brother-in-law, Ralph Osborne, Robinson, IL along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents and sister Susan Osborne and a sister-in-law, Donna Langley.
There will be a Twilight Funeral Service held on Friday November 12, 2021, at 7:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL. A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 PM until time of funeral service at 7:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL. Cremation will follow funeral services.
