Michael Guide, Sr., 60, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on March 31, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Debra (Stoklosa) Guide; sons Michael Guide, Jr. of Lockport, Illinois, and Kevin Godell (Marissa Suldiro) of Worth, Illinois; daughter, Melissa Walton (Matt) of Blue Island, Illinois; step-daughters Kristina Betz of Chicago, Illinois, and Sandra Betz of Atlantic Beach, Florida; grandson Kevin Michael Godell, Jr.; brother Anthony Guide and sister Melody Roberts. Michael was born in Chicago, IL on May 15, 1960, and was preceded in death by his parents Anthony Joseph and Mildred Guide; and brother Leo Guidi. Michael worked in the maintenance field for many years before becoming a successful business owner of Lake James Pub and Holiday Shores Video and Pizzeria in Edwardsville, Illinois. He had a passion for fishing, bowling, and baseball, and enjoyed volunteering with his wife for Southpoint Civitan events benefiting many charitable organizations including Special Olympics and Daniel Foundation. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Arrangements are under the care and direction of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME Jacksonville Beach FL
