Michael Durant Jr.
Help us celebrate Michael! Please share your stories and photos, and invite others who remember Michael.
In loving memory of Michael Scott Durant Jr., born on December 8, 1980. Scott, a devoted husband to Andrea, a cherished father to Calvin, and a loving companion to his feline friend Hobbs, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and joy.
Scott found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was casting a line into the water, strategizing in the world of banking, or spending a sunny afternoon on the golf course. His love for family and friends was unparalleled, creating lasting bonds that will forever be treasured. He always treated everyone with respect, kindness and compassion and was never afraid to put himself out there. He encouraged everyone to push themselves to learn new things, have new experiences and focus on their happiness and especially the happiness of others. His son Calvin will always remember these qualities of his dad and know that no one will ever love him as much as his family.
He is survived by his grief-stricken yet proud parents, Mike and Jane, and his sister Megan and extended family. Scott's memory will live on through the countless lives he touched, and the echoes of his laughter will resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love and memories he created during his time with us.
A celebration of life will take place at Middletown Volunteer Fire Department Community Activity Center on January 21st at 11am to 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Catoctin Creek Park and Nature Center in his honor.
