MICHAEL PATRICK CROTTY age 84, Michael was born on August 22, 1940 to Joseph A. Crotty & Margaret A. (McCann) Crotty at Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Lackawanna, NY, and raised in the town of Boston, NY. He was one of nine children, Joseph J. (deceased), William M., James E., Michael P., Patrick (deceased), John J. (deceased), Mary Ellen (Crotty) Hoffman, Kathleen T. (Crotty) Stevens and Margaret Mary (deceased). Michael's twin, Patrick, passed at age of 3 months of pneumonia; Margaret Mary passed as a newborn. He has many nephews and nieces and grand nephews and nieces. Michael attended Hamburg High School and Buffalo State University in Buffalo, NY. He moved to Round Lake Road in Savona, NY and became an art teacher at Avoca Central School located in the Finger Lake Area for 33 years. He taught the 1st through 12th grade students. Many of his former students said he was an inspiration and made a profound impact on their lives. Several of his former students and teachers have continued to correspond with him until his passing. After retirement, Michael relocated to Zephyrhills, FL and then to the Village of Tierra Del Sol in The Villages, FL. Michael was a long-time 40+ year Harley Davidson (HOG) owner and rider. He was a life member of the Corning, NY and Polk County, FL Harley Owner Groups. He was an ardent photographer for the clubs and also collector of Harley memorabilia. Michael went on numerous rallies throughout New York State, Sturgis, the Badlands, Yellowstone, and many other locations. Michael passed peacefully on January 28, 2025. He will be buried at a private family gathering at St. John the Baptist Cemetery located in Boston, NY at a yet to be determined date.
