Michael Jay Clark
Help us celebrate Michael! Please share your stories and photos, and invite others who remember Michael.
Michael Jay Clark, 33, was born on October 27, 1987 in Odessa, Texas. He moved to Dallas, Texas and then to San Antonio, Texas where he unexpectedly passed away on Sunday March 21, 2021.
Michael was a graduate from Odessa High School, class of 2006. He professed his life to Christ at an early age. Michael was raised in his grandfather Paul Clark's Church of the Way Truth and Life, and later joined Parker Heights Christian Church in Odessa. Michael was baptized twice, once by his grandpa, and once by Pastor Mark.
Michael was a generous, kind, genuine big teddy bear with a huge heart. He lived his life as a dedicated servant to the Lord and faithfully performed God's work in the church, in missionary work, in Israel, in prison ministry and in many other places with Pastor Mark Bristow and others. Michael always had a welcoming smile on his face and would bring laughter and unconditional love to all that knew him. Michael helped others first, and when he wasn't ministering in person, he had a passion for computers and online gaming. Even in gaming Michael ministered online and built up a large group of friends all over the world.
Michael will be deeply missed by his family, but we all know where his heart was and know God is excited to see him. Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents Paul and Janice Clark, and Francisco and Dominga Sanchez. He is survived by his mother Donna Sanchez of Odessa, Texas; his father Johnny Clark Sr and wife Meredith of Garland, Texas; brother Johnny Clark Jr and wife Rebecca of Dallas, Texas; brother Brian Clark and wife Jessica of Richland Hills, Texas; sister Marsha Clark of Garland, Texas; sister Jennifer Valadez and husband Chris of Spring, Texas; nieces and nephew: Ava, Marcelo, Madison, MaKaylee, Lyrick and Harmonee, and by hundreds of cousins, and many aunts and uncles.
