Melanie B. "Mel" (Page) Maratea, 59, sadly passed away on March 12, 2021 with her son Matt and his partner Haley by her side, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. Born October 19, 1961 to the late Roy and Myrtle (Hawkins) Page at the Farren Hospital in Montague, she attended Conway schools and graduated from Frontier Regional High School.
Mel often shared happy memories of her life growing up in Conway. Her love of the water no doubt started at the Conway swimming pool. She loved the beach and the local rivers, especially Ten Mile and also boating on the Connecticut. She enjoyed nature and the outdoors, camping out with the grandkids. An animal lover, she befriended strays and fed "her" squirrels peanuts daily.
Survivors include: a daughter, Rebecca Campagna, her son, and best friend, Matthew Campagna and partner Haley Clough, five grandchildren, whom Nana loved deeply, Bryce, Mac, Georgia, Aidan, and Parker, her aunts Betty Lou Guilford of Conway and Carol Hodgden of Buckeye, AZ., three brothers, Roy and wife Bonnie Page of Erving, Maury and wife Holly Page of Brattleboro, VT., and Dale Page of Greenfield., as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Services are private, under the direction of Walker Funeral Home, 14 High Street, Greenfield.
