Mrs. Maxine Slimp-Thompson, 81, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 10am on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Sun City Center UMC, 1210 Del Webb Blvd W, Sun City, FL 33573.
Born in Aberdeen, WA, Mrs. Slimp-Thompson was the daughter of the late Albert Dudley Slimp and the late Mildred Brownrigg Cannon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Thompson and her brother, Robert Slimp of Brinnon. Maxine spent her early childhood on a farm in North River, WA, and graduated from Lake Quinault.
Surviving are her brother, Dwayne (Roxanne) Slimp; two sisters, Marjorie Cannon James and Marsha Cannon Gray and brother, Mark Cannon; two sons, Steven (Wendi) Till and Craig Alan (June) Till; her daughter, Melissa Till (Mark) Whitfield; and daughter-in-law, Linda Till-MacDonald. She leaves a rich legacy of 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Thompson's name to Remnant Church, 3556 Centre Circle, 101/B, Fort Mill, SC 29715.
