Maureen Ellen Stolte, 70, of Cashmere WA, passed away Wednesday morning, November 6, 2024, with her loving family beside her, after falling ill from acute myeloid leukemia. Memorial service for Maureen will be Saturday November 16, 2024 at 11am at Grace Lutheran Church, Cashmere WA.
Maureen was born in 1954 in New Plymouth, ID to Joe and Rosie Campo. She grew up in Boise, ID, attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and graduated from Bishop Kelly High School in 1973. She attended Lewis Clark State College, returning to Boise briefly before moving to Wenatchee in 1981.
She met David Stolte in 1995. They were married in November 1996. During their marriage, she worked at Pizza-N-More, Larson Pools, Dr. Keith Henning for 18 years, Milne Insurance and Martin's Market Fresh IGA for 4 years. She enjoyed her time working with Dr. Henning and at Martin's because of the people she met and friends she made.
Dave and Maureen supported their sons, Isaac and Jacob in their high school band activities, often chaperoning the bus rides to and from football and basketball games in the Wenatchee area.
Some of her favorite things were attending Football and Basketball games along with the High School plays. And we can't forget the time she loved to spend with her 3 granddaughters. Maureen was loyal to family and friends. She traveled to Boise nearly every year to visit her parents and siblings and cousins.
Maureen was famous for her walking to stay fit. She had several routes to take, based on the distance to walk and weather conditions, enjoying the scenery and those she met along the way. After retiring on December 31st, 2023 she enjoyed doing her own thing while waiting for David to retire.
Maureen and Dave were members of Grace Lutheran Church in Cashmere.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, David; sisters, Kathleen (Ron) Lyda of Boise, ID, and Colleen (John) White of Meridian, ID; brother Jerry (Beth) Campo of Langley, Whidbey Island, WA; children, Nicole (Davis) Richmond and granddaughters Emily, Ruth, and Bekah of East Wenatchee, WA, Candace Hansen of Wenatchee, WA; Isaac Stolte of Cashmere, WA, and Jacob Stolte of East Wenatchee, WA.
