Matthew "Matt" Stephen Lord, age 35, of Meansville, died Monday, June 20, 2022, at Emory Hospital.
Matt was born on May 24, 1987, in Thomaston, to Gary Lord and Carla Harden Lord. He worked in online marketing and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Matt played golf at Upson Lee High School until he graduated in 2005, and at Atlanta Christian College, then went on to Kennesaw State University where he graduated from in 2009. He is preceded in death by his son, Luke Stephen Lord, maternal grandparents, Carl and Winnifred Harden, and paternal grandparents, George and Lucile Lord.
Survivors include his wife Amy Blount Lord of Meansville Ga, sons Zachary William Lord, and Ian Andrew Lord both of Meansville Ga, parents, Gary and Carla Lord of Thomaston Ga.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. from Trinity Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Fincher Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 23, 2022, from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church.
