Matthew Thomas Hujsak, 60, died in White River Junction, VT on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Matt was born in Hartford, CT on March 29, 1962, to Thomas Paul and Beverly Ann (Goodwin) Hujsak. After High School Matt entered the carpentry trade. Later in life Matt went to school to obtain his CDL and was a long-haul truck driver.
Matt was an adventurous person and lived in many places. These included New Hampshire, Georgia, Florida, Minnesota, Oregon and Vermont. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing, boating, and camping. Matt was an accomplished fly fisherman. He was also big fan of The Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics.
Matt was outgoing, loved people, and had many lifelong friends. Foremost to Matt was his extended family. Although married twice, Matt had no children of his own. He did have a great bond with many of his nieces and nephews, and they loved him as well. He was very close to his older sister Linda. Though Matt lived in many places outside of New England, he kept in close contact with his family, and would return home for holidays whenever he could, especially the annual 4th of July family celebrations.
He is survived by his parents Thomas Paul and Beverly Ann Hujsak of Goffstown, NH. Matt had six siblings including Michael Hujsak and wife Lynne of Amherst, NH, Casey Goodridge of Hooksett, NH, Debbee Carter and partner Andy Mindel of Salisbury, MA, Jon Hujsak and partner Sandra Contreras of Nashua, NH, and Jim Hujsak and Jen Moquin of Goffstown, NH, and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Matt was preceded in death by his sister Linda Hujsak.
Funeral services will be held on September 17 at 1 PM at Last Rest Cemetery in Merrimack, NH
