Mathew Lean Marquis died unexpectedly on May 28, 2023 at the age of 45. Mathew was a graduate of Naugatuck High School and worked at Chatfield Power Equipment. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Cheryl Marquis; son, Travis; daughter, Lori; brothers, Robert, Craig, and Jeff Sheldon; and sister, Robin Grant Briner. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins, his close friend Jerry, and his special four-legged buddy, Petey. Mathew is predeceased by his father, Terry Marquis; Bob Sheldon, who was a father figure to him; sister, Lori Sheldon; as well as his grandparents. Family and friends may visit Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main Street South, Southbury, CT on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 am immediately following the visitation.
