Marylyn LeBlanc, 68, of Hopkins, died Thursday, September 15, 2022. Born August 5, 1954, in Augusta, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Gil Iarocci and Betty Dean McAtee Iarocci. She was a proud graduate of Paine College, a historically black Methodist college in Augusta, Georgia, where she earned her bachelor's degree in history. Ms. LeBlanc loved her Italian heritage and enjoyed cooking gourmet meals.
Survivors include her sons, Rene Joseph "Joey' LeBlanc, III of Augusta, GA and Aaron John LeBlanc of Raleigh, NC; granddaughters, Victoria Portwood (Bart), Lauren Stewart, Caitlin Stewart, Aspen LeBlanc and Kalina LeBlanc; grandson, Rene Joseph "Jose" LeBlanc, IV; as well as her great grandchildren, Ysabelle LeBlanc, Wyatt Portman, and Kelton Hamilton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Stewart, and her brother, Gil John Iarocci, II.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date and announced by Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel.
