Maryann Hennessy Gibson, age 94, of Nashville passed away Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021 at the Brown County Health and Living Center. Born Jan. 9, 1927 in East Rockaway, New York, she was the daughter of Thomas David and Maria Yollanda (Marcello) Hennessy. Maryann was the owner and operator of the Colonial Restaurant in Nashville. She was a supporter of Republican related causes throughout her life and was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Maryann is survived by her son, Duane K. Gibson and his wife, Judi; two daughters, Jerryann Sampson, of Howell, Michigan and Debbie Maniscalco, of Reading, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Brad Sampson, of Michigan, Nic Gibson, of Indiana and Kristen Maniscalco, of New York, eight great-grandchildren and one sister, June (John) Gilliland, of Seattle, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Duane E. Gibson, to whom she was married to on Jan. 2, 1950 in New York, two brothers, Tommy Hennessy and David Hennessy, one granddaughter, Lisa Ganz and one grandson, Heath Gibson.
A private family graveside service was held on Monday, Feb. 1, at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
The family wishes to send a special thanks to the Brown County Health and Living Center for their loving care of Maryann over the years. You will never be forgotten.
