Mary Ethel Young, 90, of Frederick, Maryland, died peacefully on December 9, 2023. Born March 27, 1933, in Purim, India, Mary was the daughter of the late Sidney Brownsberger and Claire Nordyke.
She spent many years in the medical field as an audiologist with the Veteran's administration. She was also a loyal member of All Saints Episcopal church in Frederick, Maryland.
Mary has two surviving children, Margaret McWilliams, and Edward Young, along with 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to being a loving mother, she was a voracious reader and a keen observer of nature and animals. She nurtured and cared for many creatures throughout her life, including birds, dogs, cats, and even black bears.
A memorial service, at a time to be announced, will be held at All Saints Episcopal church in Frederick, Maryland.
Mary's care has been entrusted to the Acacia Society of Sabillasville, MD.
