Mary Ann Ferguson Wright 78, a resident pf 208 Carroll Lane Belton, SC, passed away on June 12, 2024, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Doris G. Ferguson. She was married to Larry L. Wright for 57 years.
Mary Ann graduated from Honea Path High School and Erskine College. She earned her Masters' degree from the University of Georgia. Mrs. Wright taught in Braselton, Georgia, at Honea Path Middle School and for 29 years at Belton-Honea Path High School.
Mary Ann was a life-long member of the Honea Path Presbyterian Church. She served as Church Historian for 46 years, and served on various church committees. She had been a member of the Dogwood Garden Club, Ladies' League, Delta Kappa Gamma, and DAR. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, Larry to 27 European countries.
Survivors in addition to her husband are her brothers, Andy Ferguson, Jr., and Bobby Ferguson of Honea Path.
A graveside service will be held at the Garden of Memories at eleven am June 17,2024 on conducted by the Rev. Amanda Taylor, and Rev. Dr. Hampton Hunter. The family will receive friends following the service.
