Mary H. Webster was born November 25, 1940, at West Bend, Wisconsin, the daughter of Wayne R. and Helen A. (Strasburg) Webster. On November 5, 1994, she married Raymond L.W. Abitz in Juneau, Wisconsin.
Mary had been employed as a social worker for Dodge County for 25 years, working in foster care. She was involved in the Friends of the Juneau Library. She was an active member of the Juneau United Methodist Church. Mary and Ray shared 30 years together, all beginning with the Swinging Beaver's square dancing.
Mary is survived by her husband Ray and his daughters, Tina Prust and Wendy Fields; three grandchildren, Derke Abitz, Maalik Fields and Jacob Prust. She is further survived by her brother, Robert W. Beverly (Noffz) Webster of Watertown; niece, Susan and Steve Groth of Wauwatosa; nephews, Robert L. and Dana (Hinstdorff) Webster of Watertown, Warren Davis of Parkdale, MD, Alan and Pat Davis of Mechanicsville, VA; and a grandniece, Ashley Groth of Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Helen Webster; sisters, Jean Davis and Doris Williams; nieces, Sharon Rae Webster and Jennifer (Groth) Koniar; nephew, Lane Williams; and grandnephew, Orrin Williams.
A memorial gathering for Mary will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. until Noon at the Juneau United Methodist Church, 127 E. Oak Grove Street, Juneau. A memorial service will begin at Noon with Rev. Renae Dymond officiating.
Memorial donations in Mary's name may be directed to the Juneau United Methodist Church, The Juneau Public Library, or the charity of your choice.
