Mary A (Mowat) Weaver, born January 20, 1925, in Dallas TX passed away peacefully at the age of 96, with family at her side, August 29, 2021, in Lufkin TX. where she had resided, after living her entire life in Dallas.
After her retirement from the attendance office at Skyline High School, she and her husband J.B. loved to travel around the country on bus tours, and Mary had magnet filled refrigerator doors that attest to their travels
Mary was a gifted and dedicated seamstress, who would whip a measuring tape around you whether you wanted her to or not! Quilting was a form of art that Mary was gifted with. She bestowed many quilts upon her family, which we cherish with every hand sewn stich.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, J.B. Weaver, and infant son James Roy. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Bill and Pam Weaver of Lufkin TX; daughter Diane McClary of Bentonville AR; 3 grandchildren, Megan Taylor, Abbey Weaver and Wesley Weaver; and 4 great-grandchildren, Jacob Stone, Taylor Maxwell, Mary Frazier, and Dallas Taylor.
