Mary Walston, 83 years of age and a resident of Frankfort, Michigan passed away recently from a stroke. Mary was born in a small town near the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area. She had her BSN from the University of Iowa and worked in various states as a nurse in hospitals and other health settings. Mary had a masters in Psychology and had obtained hours in higher education to be used for a doctorate. Mary retired from Central Michigan University in 1999, after 15 years as a professor in the Health Profession area of CMU. Mary married Sydney Walston in 1962 and they have 2 children; Jeff Walston of Traverse City, MI and Lisa Shaffer of Westminster, Maryland. Mary and Sydney have two grandchildren Emilie Shaffer of Bozeman, MT and Grace Mertz of Westminster, Maryland and two great grandsons Levi and Carter. Services to be announced at a later time.
