Mary Anne Walls Jones ( Shoda), 96, passed away February 12, 2021.
Mary's life is the catalyst to a television piece, "Ruby's House," that is in development, that spans from 1903 until present day. It will be produced in McComas, and Bluewell, West Virginia. It will be dedicated to, Mary Anne Shoda, her life and legacy.
She was born in McComas, West Virginia on August 8, 1924, one of 7 children of the late William and Veda (Boich) Shoda. Mary Anne was a devout Catholic, and she truly loved life.
In addition to her parents and siblings, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Merle Wayne Jones and daughter, Patricia Ann Hazard.
She will be dearly missed by her son, William Curry Walls, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest with her husband at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local hospice.
