Galesburg- Mary E. Scott, 51, 701 Day St. died Thursday at 1:58 a.m. in St. Mary' s Hospital. She was born Oct. 3, 1937 in Galesburg, the daughter of Frank and Sara Eleanor Mundy Theobald. She married Gerald Scott on Aug. 29, 1953, in Burlington, Iowa.
Surviving are her husband; five sons, Robert Scott, Joliet, and William Scott, Ralph Scott, Joseph Scott and Henry Scott all of Galesburg; six daughters, Jerile Farajpanahi, Crystal Way, Diane Scott, Marcy Scott, Betsy Scott, and Rachel Scott all of Galesburg; two brothers, Carl Theobald and Kenneth Theobald, both of Galesburg; one sister, Sandra Humphry, Galesburg, and 11 grandchildren.
She was a housewife and a life-long area resident. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She taught CCD at her church for many years.
Funeral will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church with the Rev. James McAteer officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be said at 8:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery
Memorials may be made to Costa Catholic School or to Corpus Christi Catholic Church, the family said
