Mary F. Stefano of The Villages, FL passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 9, 2021. She was 94. She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Antonette (Condo) Stefano, brothers, George and John Stefano and sister-in-law, Ruth (Rose) Stefano. She is survived by four nephews, Thomas, Ronald (wife, Lisa Rich), Joseph (Ruth Abt) and James (wife, Sherrie) Stefano, and 2 generations of great nieces and nephews.
Mary lived a full and exciting life. She left her home in rural Old Bethany in SW Pennsylvania for Washington DC shortly after high school in the summer of 1944 in response to a call for help in the labor force during World War II. After the war she remained in the area. She found success working for the Lawrence N. Brandt, Inc. company and enjoyed a busy social life in the nation's capital.
Mary spent the last decades of her life in Florida. Though far from many lifelong friends and family, she kept in touch over the phone, through the mail, and most recently via email and chat. Mary enjoyed visits with family and friends, playing cards, and using her iPad. She loved a good laugh, a glass of Chardonnay at 5pm and she LOVED dogs, especially TooLong, M.P. and Misty.
There are no services planned, so please raise a glass, call a friend, or pet a dog and make a donation to your local animal shelter in her honor.
Mary will be interred in St Pius X cemetery in Mount Pleasant, PA
