Mary Sylvia Kent

Mary Sylvia Kent age 97 passed away December 7, 2023 at her residence. She was the widow of James L. Kent. They shared 34 years making many memories together.

Born in Burkburnett Texas, she was the daughter of Gracie and Carl Schrib. She worked for AT&T for many years until she retired.

She was a member of Faith Viera Lutheran Church. She enjoyed many types of activities throughout her life and was always wanting try something new. She played tennis, tried judo for a time, learned to fly and obtained her private pilots license, played golf through her 80s, learned to paint after retirement and created some impressive art. On top of this she enjoyed travel and exploring new places.

She is survived by sons James and John Witcher, their spouses Carolyn and Mary and her grandchildren Dennis, Julianne, Susan, and Shawn. She was predeceased by her husband James Kent and sister Nina Zinzer.

The funeral services will be held on December 15, 2023 at 11:00 am at Faith Viera Lutheran Church 5550 Faith Dr. Rockledge, FL followed by a gravesite message at 12:30 at Florida Memorial Gardens 5950 US-1, Rockledge, FL.
