Mary Jane (Myers) Plank, age 75, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Heaven is celebrating the arrival of a radiant spirit. She was the wife of the late James R. Plank, who passed away in 1999.
Mary Jane was born in Lancaster on July 21, 1948 and was the daughter of the late Clyde Jacob and Mary Jane (Noden) Myers. She enjoyed horseback riding and crafting. She also attended Calvary Church with her son Steven and his family. She had a zest for living, always had a smile on her face, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Mary Jane was a natural-born caregiver. She was a licensed daycare provider for 22 years. Some of the children that Mary Jane cared for continued to visit her with children of their own. Later, for six years she provided in-home caregiving for adults prior to retiring on Mother's Day in 2021. She spent many years owning, showing, and trail riding her horses. She loved draft horses, especially her Percheron named Romeo. Her yellow lab, Wreckster held a very special place in her heart. Mary Jane greatly enjoyed her retirement years often remarking that she lived a full life with no regrets!
