Mary Francis Holland (Fran), passed away peacefully on November 26, 2021 at the age of 89. She was born in Yukon OK on Feb. 4, 1932 to Frank and Eva Dick. She obtained a degree in Home Economics from Oklahoma A & M (later renamed Oklahoma State University). While in college she met her husband of 62 years Leon. After graduating, she held several teaching jobs in Oklahoma and New Jersey. In 1960, she and Leon moved to Ethiopia Africa where she managed the cafeteria at an OSU extension university. She moved to San Angelo in 1969 and was the first executive director of the Concho Valley Home for Girls from 1972 to 1983. She later owned and operated the Red Lion Antique store on Chadbourn St. and the Sunset Mall. She enjoyed traveling the world. In her lifetime she visited many foreign countries and famous cities around the globe, but her favorite travel location was her second home in Gioviano, Italy, where she spent many years enjoying family and friends. She will be missed by her many friends throughout the world. She is survived by daughter Dr. Deborah Orkiszewski and husband Michael of Raleigh, North Carolina, and her sons, Tim and Scott Fish; son James and his wife Kim Brink of Fremont, California; son John and his wife, Dr. Teressa McHenry of Jenks, Oklahoma, and their children, Cyanna, Ike and Eli Holland; and eight great-grandchildren.
