Juanita started her career in the Civil Service at Fort McLellan in Anniston, AL. A move to Albany, GA gave her an opportunity to apply her skills at the Albany Jr. College. Her family then moved to Gadsden, AL where she became the Activities Director of the Holy Comforter House. Many other moves afforded her the opportunity to make new friends with whom Juanita kept up with from then on. The family then moved back to Anniston, AL where Juanita was able to complete her twenty-year career with the Civil Service helping to train Military Police for the Army and Marine Corps. For the next fifteen years, Juanita lived the best years of her life in Rock Hill, SC.
Juanita Gardner lived an extraordinary life and filled the world with extraordinary people. An example to us all of a life well lived. While she may not be with us physically anymore, she will live in all our hearts forever.
