Mary Catherine Flaherty

Mary C. "Cathy" Flaherty (Cramer) of Leesburg passed on January 7, 2021 due to COVID. She was predeceased by her husband William "Bill" J. Flaherty and survived by her daughters Shawn and Colleen Flaherty, their husbands Roman Blazauskas and Mike Dorsch, and grandchildren that she adored?Connor and Ryan Blazauskas, Brendan and Katie Marvaso, and Amanda, Ben, Cam, and Ethan Dorsch. She also leaves behind a number of siblings and cousins.

Born in South Carolina and raised in Kansas, she was a registered nurse who loved people and was a friend to many. She had a charisma and warmth that made all feel special and enjoyed making people smile. She was a volunteer and enjoyed singing. Cathy and her husband lived many places including Germany when her husband worked for the US Army as well as Vienna, VA and Leesburg, VA. They had a shared interest in learning and traveling and had visited many countries and all 50 states.
