Mary Elizabeth Wheeler
We always knew how much she loved us.
Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Wheeler, 95, of North Syracuse, passed away October 5, 2017. Mary was born in Fulton, New York on June 13, 1922 to the late Eugene and Mary Wilson.
Betty attended Traphagen School of Fashion, New York City. She taught for 25 years at the North Syracuse School District and worked 13 years as a manager for Stylish Women. She was a Civic Social Club of Syracuse member for many years. She was a Judge for 4H, a Camp Fire and Boy Scout Leader and President of the North Syracuse Garden Club.
In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, spending time with her grandchildren and family. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years Robert "Bob" three siblings, Eugene, Kathryn and William.
She is survived by Daughter, Karen E. (Gary Lockwood) Wheeler, Sons, Robert Wheeler and Kenneth (Patty) Wheeler, three Grandchildren, Mandy Bashore, Casey Bashore and Kelly Wheeler.
