Mary Sue Culpepper, age 90, passed away peacefully September 1, 2021, at Autumn Care West under the care of Smoky Mountain Hospice.
Sue graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1947 and married the love of her life, Charlie at the Chapel on the Hill on April 15, 1950. She began her working career in 1968 at Kimball's Jewelry Store in Oak Ridge until her retirement in 1983. She was an avid member of the Woman's League, loved gardening, sewing, dancing and was a long-time member of Faith Lutheran Church in Oak Ridge.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles (Charlie) Alfred Culpepper and grandson, Charles Townsend Culpepper.
She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Rose; son, Jim Culpepper and wife Nancy; son, John Culpepper and wife Karen; daughter, Susan Ramsey and husband David; grandchildren, Eric Rose, Brent Rose, Dustin Ramsey, Loren Ramsey Brown, Russell Ramsey, Kelli Culpepper, Katie Culpepper and Tucker Culpepper; great grandchildren, Nicholas Rose, Waylon Rose, Conrad Rose, Serianne Rose, Hannah Rose, Greta Rose, Eric Rose, Skyler Ramsey, Aidan Ramsey, Alexis Ramsey, Everett Brown and several nieces and nephews.
The Culpepper family would like to give a heartfelt gratitude to Terri and Verne with Smoky Mountain Hospice and the Nurses and Staff at Autumn Care.
A Celebration of Life service was held at Faith Lutheran Church in Oak Ridge.
