Mary always attended Oakfield Baptist Church and was a member since 1937. For many years, Mary served as the church pianist/organist. She was a member of the church's Women's Circle and the New Lexington Music Study Club.
Mary never missed watching the Cincinnati Reds through thick and thin, and the OSU football and boys basketball games. Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune were favorites, as well. She always enjoyed family celebrations, growing flowers, crafts, sewing and quilting. Her grandchildren spent many happy hours at her home.
We would like to thank Janet Irvine for providing love and care for Mary these past several years, enabling us to keep mom at her home. Mom grew to love and depend upon Jan and greatly missed her when she couldn't be there. Also, many thanks to Fairhope Hospice employees (and angels) Becky, Andrea, chaplain Naomi, social worker Naomi, and nurse Gretchen for loving care and support for mom and us these last few days.
