Mary "Chris" Christine Westphal- Born Mary Christine Ginsbach on December 10th 1947 in McAllen,
Texas. She passed peacefully surrounded by family at BAMC Hospital in San Antonio on August 3oth 2021 around 10:55pm. She is survived by Wayne Westphal her beloved husband of 52 years, her two sons Dirk Westphal and Clint (Laurey) Westphal, and her brother Pat Ginsbach. lnto her Heavenly Father's care, she joins her parents John and Harriet Ginsbach, parents-in-law Herbert and Olga Westphal, brother-in-law Doug Westphal, and her precious friends that preceded her.
Chris is best known for the impact she had on the people she met. She was a devoted Christian, a caring
mother, a loving wife, a dear friend to many, a wise mentor, an open ear, a charitable giver, a fierce businesswoman, and source of strength for those who needed it. Raised in the church, her faith continued to develop and deepen throughout her years. She was always eager to share her faith not
only through her selflessness but through her words of encouragement that she found time every day to
share. To the end she prayed not for her own healing but for the health and wellbeing of others. To speak of her many accomplishments and honors would distract from the service that they were to her Lord and Savior. Everything she did was either for the benefit of others or to bring glory to God. She will be dearly missed by her family and her many friends that she prayed with and for, and those she shared fellowship with.
