Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home
Mary "Bonnie" I. Egger passed away on May 5, 2023 at HealthPark Medical Center. She was 83. Mary was born on September 14, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late John and Joyce (Knight) Moore. She was quickly given the "Bonnie" by her father, his Bonnie Bell that he would carry on his shoulder everywhere he went. Bonnie graduate from the University of Missouri with her Bachelor's Degree in teaching and began her career at West Wood Elementary teaching 2nd grade. She continued to teach 2nd grade for 15 years, working a total of 30 years in the Cincinnati School System. Over the course of her career Bonnie herself continued in her education and obtained her Master's Degree from the University of Cincinnati. She retired and moved to Florida in the early 2000's. Bonnie enjoyed the weather and her community, being one of the only ones at the time to have a dog park and allow large dogs. Bonnie's last four-legged child Scottie now resides with life-long friend. Bonnie was Queen of the Red Hat Society of Estero. A memorial service was held at the Breckenridge Clubhouse in Estero, FL.
