Mary Ann (nee Vogel) Zipperer, age 96, passed away on March 10, 2023. She was born on March 18, 1926 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Schuh) Vogel. Mary Ann was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1943. On September 11, 1948, she married Victor Zipperer at St. Michael Catholic Church in Whitelaw. They celebrated over 56 years together. He preceded her in death on February 4, 2005. They were members of St. Frances of Assisi Catholic Parish.
Mary Ann was employed by J.C. Penney as a retail associate, retiring after 20 years of service. Mary Ann and Victor enjoyed their retirement years traveling and spending winters in California and Florida, visiting with family and friends.
Mary Ann is survived by two daughters and their spouses; Jean (Thomas) Marsch, Green Bay, Janet (Stephen) Silverman, Milwaukee, grandchildren; Erin Marsch, Green Bay, David (Kari) Marsch, Eden Prairie, MN, Douglas (Jennifer) Marsch, Fox Point, WI; and her great-grandchildren, Olivia and Warren Marsch, Eden Prairie, MN, and Marcela, Louisa and Eva Marsch, Fox Point, WI. She is also survived by sisters-in-law: Marion Vogel, Green Bay, JoAnn Vogel, Manitowoc, and Janice Zipperer, Manitowoc, nieces and nephews and special friend James Morrow, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband Victor; her parents, Frank and Rose Vogel; her father and mother-in-law, Urban and Clara Zipperer; brothers: Raymond, Hilary, Stanley, Frank, Marcellus, Marcus and Conrad Vogel; sisters: Genrose Krippner and Cecilia Doleysh; brothers-in-law: Walter Krippner, Clarence Doleysh, Reuben Schiesl, Paul Rosinsky, Richard Becker, and Jule Zipperer; sisters-in-law: Helen, Neva, Elaine, Lorraine and Betty Vogel, Bernadine Schiesl, LaVerne Becker and Marie Rosinsky.
A private celebration of Mary Ann's life is planned at a future date.
