Marvin Clarence Scott (Pete) was born on July 25, 1937 to the late Clara and Russell Scott. Marvin was preceded in death by his son Anthony Scott and his sister Rebecca Turner (Ernest). Marvin was educated in the Old Rock Hall School System. Later, Marvin went to serve in the Army for several years. Marvin worked at various construction jobs such as Local 199 and Tyler Construction. Marvin was joined in holy matrimony to Shirley Ann Macer on July 31, 1993. Shirley was a devoted wife to her husband for 27 years. Marvin enjoyed going out fishing and taking care of his flowers. Marvin loved sitting out in his front yard spending time with his family and friends. Marvin was a member of Aaron United Methodist Church and he enjoyed listening to his favorite gospel spirituals. Marvin leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Shirley of Rock Hall, MD, two sons, Timothy Moody (Lisa) of Colemans, MD and David Hayden of Newport, DE; one stepdaughter, Juanita Demby (Ronald) of Chestertown, MD; one stepson, Roosevelt Felton (Dorvon) of Federalsburg, MD; two brothers, Russell Scott Jr. (Jew) of Rock Hall, MD and Charles Scott (Beverly) of Middletown, DE; one sister, Maryann Johnson of Rock Hall, MD; three sisters-in-law, Jean Macer of Chestertown, MD, Patricia Macer of Chestertown, MD and Dorothy Macer of Chestertown, MD; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two godchildren, Cierra Harris and Latoya Hawkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends who loved him dearly. Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021at 3:00pm at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 855 High Street, Chestertown, MD 21620 with visitation one hour prior to service.
