Marvin James Pell, age 95 of Sumterville, FL departed this life peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2020 while surrounded by his loved ones.
Marvin was born in Fort Payne, Alabama on March 13, 1925. He was one of sixteen children.
Marvin was a veteran who served in the United States Army. After an honorable discharge from the service, he married the love of his life Lizzie Ophelia (Shorty) and they later moved to Floral City, Florida where he opened a successful welding & machine shop. He was well known as a "jack of all trades".
Marvin was a member of the Shady Brook Freewill Baptist church in Sumterville, FL. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed "winning" at a game of Checkers and Skip-Bo. He was head of the family, loved fearlessly, laughed often, and will be missed beyond words.
He was preceded in death by his wife Shorty of 64 years, daughter Doris Hampton, parents and ten siblings.
He is survived by his children Wanda Galbraith, Karen Pell, Jimmy Pell and daughter-in-law Lynn: five siblings.
Marvin was a proud grandfather of twelve grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and nineteen great-great grandchildren.
