Marvin Henry Jahn died Dec. 2, 1958 at St. Paul. Funeral services where held from the First English Lutheran Church, Rev. Merland T. Johnson officiating, Soloist for the service was Lincoln Olson, accompanied by Mrs. M. T. Johnson. Burial was in the Marshall cemetery. Pallbearers included brother-in-law Erwin DeAustin, Otto Stern, Ervin Schenk, Julius Schenk, Lester Fredrick, and Jake Glanzer. The Troop Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jahn was born at Osceola, Iowa Jan. 17, 1914, the oldest of three children born to Walter and Frieda Miller Jahn. He was baptized in the Christian faith and later confirmed in the Lutheran church in the Osceola community. As a young man he began working on farms. After moving to Brown county near Springfield, he married Gertrude Schenk, Dec. 17, 1936. To this union were born four children. During the 22 years of his married life he was employed as a driver for trucking companies. His last job was with Glendenning Trucking company. He was a member of Local 909 Brotherhood of Teamsters of Worthington.
He was also a member of the First English Lutheran church.
He is survived by his wife Gertrude, a daughter, Barbara, and three sons, Donald Marvin, Gary Julius, and Bruce Henry, all at home. Also surviving is his sister, Mrs. Norma Glanzer, Sanborn, and his brother Gilbert of Eugene, Or.
