Marvin Lavon Hupp left this life to join his wife on May 2, 2020. Marvin was a beloved Son, Husband, Father, Grandpa, Papa, Uncle and friend to everyone he met.
Marvin was born on August 29, 1935 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Ray and Marie Hupp. He attended Union High School where he excelled at baseball and football.
Marvin married the love of his life, Maxine (Micun) Hupp and they made their home in Grand Rapids for many years. Marvin worked his entire career in the building maintenance industry, which took their family various locations in the country, eventually raising their family in Indianapolis. The position of Building Supervisor for Caterpillar took Marvin and Maxine to Peoria,IL, later retiring to Anderson, IN.
Marvin was proceeded in death by his wife Maxine, his daughter Diane Marie "Dede" Rodich, his parents, his sister Vivian "Rhodie" Cameron and his brother Charles Hupp. He will be dearly missed by his children Patty-Jo Elwood, Michael Hupp (Linda), Casey Morgan (Maury), Tony Hupp (Lori) and Theresa Onken (Jim) along with 15 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
We will celebrate Marvin's life at a later date in respect of Covid-19 Restrictions. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Padre Pio Foundation of America, 463 Main Street, Cromwell, CT 06416.
