Marvin E. Hahler
Marvin E. Hahler, 65, of Republic, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, at the Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.
Marvin was born in Willard, on November 2, 1956 to the late Eugene and
Bernadette (Scherley)Hahler.
Marvin is survived by his two brothers, Raymond C. Hahler of Willard, and Allan P. (Anita) Hahler of Attica, a nephew, Ryan (Shawnda) Hahler of Attica, and a niece, Alanna Hahler of Attica, and a great nephew, Levi Hahler of Attica.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a niece, Shelly Hahler.
Marvin had been employed at Excel Wire and Cable in Tiffin retiring in 2002, and also own and operated the Marvin Hahler Livestock and Hay Hauling, and also farmed the family farm. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica, a 1975 graduate of Seneca East High School in Attica, a former Board of Director of the Republic Elevator Board. He enjoyed pulling farm stock tractors, and enjoyed attending the Bowling Green State Tractor Pulls every year.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica, with Rev. Joseph P. Joseph officiating. Burial will follow services at the Farewell Retreat Cemetery in Republic.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, August 1, 2022, from 3-7p.m., at the Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville with a prayer service being held at 7:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Attica Jr. Fair Board, or to a charity of the donor's choice. On-line condolences may be left for the family at www.shookfamilyfh.com.
