Acree-Davis Funeral Home
Mr. Marvin Leroy Blalock, age 85 of Rothell Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at the Stephens County Hospital.
A son of the late William Edward Blalock and Nannie Mildred Bartlett Blalock, he was born December 8, 1936 in Clayton County, Atlanta, Georgia. He was a 1954 graduate of the North Clayton High School. Marvin joined the United States Air Force in 1956 until 1960, serving as an Air Traffic Control Radar Technician. After the military, he served his country as a Government Civilian employee for over 25 years, retiring in 1992. While in the service he met his wife of 62 years, Margret Ann Kipe Blalock. They were married in 1959 at the Flat Rock Baptist Church in Clayton County, Georgia. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Billie Ruth Blalock, Edward Lamar Blalock, Kathleen Louise Blalock, Flora Mae Blalock and Hoyt Franklin Blalock. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Survivors include his wife Margret Kipe Blalock of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Susan Blalock; granddaughter Sara Blalock.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral home on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
The family will have a private service. Military Honors by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
