Martha Perkins Schwarzmann, age 75, passed away peacefully January 5, 2021, after a long fight with Lewy Body Dementia. She was born November 27, 1945 in Marietta, Georgia to John R. Perkins and Alice J. Perkins long time natives of the East Cobb community. She is survived by her husband, the love of her life, Ellison S. Schwarzmann as they celebrated 50 years of marriage together.
Martha spent her entire life in the Mt. Bethel community and worked at Western Electric before becoming a stay at home mom to the children she treasured with her whole heart, embracing every moment she spent with them. She especially loved her role as Maw-Maw and made sure that her grandchildren enjoyed great adventures. She had a big personality that was full of strength, love, and laughter. Always the life of the party, she never met a stranger and never tired of talking.
Martha is survived by her brother and wife, Joe and Glinda Perkins; her son and wife Mark and Terri Schwarzmann; her daughter and husband Christy and Chris Sprayberry; grandchildren, Rachel Schwarzmann, Peyton Sprayberry, and Nolan Sprayberry; plus her many nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
Please join us in celebrating her life. Starting with a Visitation on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 5 - 7pm at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA 30328 and a Funeral Service on Saturday, January 16th at Sandy Springs Chapel at 1pm with a burial to follow at Chattahoochee Baptist Church cemetery.
