Martha Anne Cooper Eischen passed away on June 26, 2022. She was born in Mt. Holly, New Jersey, on April 29, 1939, the fifth of the six children of Frederick and Katherine Cooper, who raised their children as strong witnesses of the love and power of God as manifested in the life and work of his only Son Jesus Christ. She graduated from Lower Merion High School and then got a B.S. degree from Penn State in 1962, having majored in mathematics. She then worked for many years in the budding computer industry, eventually starting her own company writing and supplying computer code used by trucking companies to manage and build their businesses. During this period, she wrote books on computers, one being Compu guides – The Consumer’s Guide to Small Business Computers (1982), followed by another one: Does Your Small Business Need a Computer? (1983). Later in life, after the death of her admiring father in the mid 1990’s, she took on the challenge of caring for her aging mother until she died in 2008 at the age of 98. This was such a great learning experience for her in this new phase of her life of dedication to God and His people, that she wrote another book called, Mothering Mother – A Daughter’s Experience in Caregiving. This enabled her to begin a new business, in which she had several clients in her more recent years, helping them transition to their new lives as they aged. She provided them with all the help they needed from available government and local resources to be an effective caregiver for these people, efficiently seeing to the details of their affairs. They became her fast friends as they aged and went home to God – just as she has now come under the shadow of His wings, always with the ministrations of Holy Church that she accessed as a part of her strong daily prayer life – with which she glorified God her maker, caring for and loving His people and other beloved creatures along the way. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Martha at 11 am on Monday, July 11, 2022, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Parish. The church is located at 6301 Woodbine Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19151. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the above-named church. STUARD - NEWTOWN SQUARE A FAMILY TRADITION SINCE 1822
