Martha Hudon Bolduc, 97, of Seminole, Florida, passed away on October 21, 2022. She was born on January 31, 1925, in Morrisville, Vermont to Cora and Oscar Hudon. She was married to the late Daniel Bolduc on April 12, 1947, for 64 years.
Martha spent her early years in Johnson, Vermont and Crown Point, New York, and would relocate to Chicopee, Massachusetts in 1940 where she worked at "Sickles", producing high tech electronic parts for the Navy and Army Air Corps during World War II. She met Daniel Bolduc through mutual friends, in 1943. They would eventually move to Easthampton, Massachusetts, where Martha worked as the bookkeeper and manager for Bolduc Pharmacy, while being a homemaker, party planner, cook, baker, seamstress, crafter, home remodeler, and mother of three. In 1975, Martha went to work as a buyer and salesperson for the Jewelry Department, at E&J Distributors in Northampton, Massachusetts. She had a keen eye for jewelry, enjoyed people, and could sell almost anything. In 1978, Martha and Dan moved to Jonesboro, Georgia where Martha enjoyed her time there volunteering as a docent at "The Twelve Oaks", which was the site of "Tara", the fictional name for the antebellum mansion that was used in the 1939 film "Gone with the Wind". After relocating to Florida, in 1985, first to Seminole and then to New Port Richey, Martha filled her days with volunteer work at Elfers's Senior Center, worked as a hostess at "The Gathering Restaurant" (which was owned by her son, Kenneth), greeted new neighbors with home-made cakes, traveled, and enjoyed visiting family and friends. She moved to back to Seminole, Florida in 2016, and lived at Freedom Square where she liked to collect the flower arrangements from the dining rooms, to rearrange and distribute to the residents in the Rehabilitation Center and Assisted Living Center. There was always a bingo game, card game or the occasional trip to the Hard Rock Casino, that she enjoyed, often she walked away as a winner. Martha loved her family, friends and a good party. We loved her back and she will be missed.
She is survived by her children, Denise Hawks, Richard "Cloud" Bolduc and Kenneth Bolduc (and his wife Deborah), grandsons Richard Bolduc Jr. (and his wife Jackie), and Alexander Bolduc; and her brother Omar Hudon (and his wife Rosemary). She is predeceased by her brothers Maurice, Paul and Daniel Hudon, and her sister Theresa Montagnola.
