She was raised in Charleston where she was blessed with many lifelong friends. Marshall attended her beloved Ashley Hall and graduated in 1981. She earned her bachelor's degree at The College of Charleston in 1985 where she was a member of Tri Delta sorority.
Marshall's professional gift was interior design. For many years, she ran Marshall Lynch Interiors in Aiken and Charleston. Her masterful touch decorated many homes in the area. She had a flare for blending the historic with the new to bring warmth and elegance to every project.
One of Marshall's greatest joys was being a mother to Mary Macrae, whom she raised with unconditional love. Marshall was pleased to see Mary Macrae blossom into a beautiful, intelligent and successful young woman. She was thrilled when Mary Macrae became engaged to Harrison. Marshall warmly welcomed Harrison into the family and cherished the time she spent with them planning their spring of 2020 wedding.
She lived her life to the fullest and was such a joyful and positive influence on so many lives. Marshall treasured her time with friends and family and often served as a gracious hostess for gatherings. Her impeccable taste and talent for entertaining made it a treat for anyone visiting her home where there was always delicious food, laughs and fellowship. Her warmth and grace will be missed by all.
Marshall was a committed supporter of Ashley Hall, where she served on the Alumnae Board and spent many hours giving back. She was a member of the Junior League of Honolulu, HI and Aiken, SC and of St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Charleston.
Marshall is survived by a daughter, Mary Macrae Chapman (Harrison), her Mother, Beverly Marshall, Dick Lynch and loving companion Lowell Grosse. She was adored by her extended family, godparents and many dear friends.
